What is londonlostandfound?

Looking for an alternative view of London? Find it at londonlostandfound, the guide for the misguided.

On this website you can find free events, film reviews, a gig guide, bar listings, exhibitions, film festivals, and plenty of unusual entertainments, happening right here in London.

Londonlostandfound is different because it features things that don’t usually make it into the pages of your average listings, such as free music at the boozer down the road, a great new gallery tucked away out of the centre, or an exciting bar that’s off the beaten track.

The website is a not-for-profit project which provides a totally free service and aims to support small, local ventures. And as we have no sponsorship or online advertising, you can rest assured that events are featured purely on merit.

You can also subscribe to a free fortnightly electronic listings magazine called The Selection. It features the hottest upcoming listings and events, selected by our team of londonlostandfound correspondents, and emailed straight to your inbox in time for the weekend. See The Selection for more details.

Where did londonlostandfound come from?

The idea for londonlostandfound was born in April 2003. Its creator was a typical Londoner looking for more from life and from the city. One Saturday morning she happened to walk through a noisy, crowded, dirty street in the capital thinking "There must be more to London than this".

And so, with little more than an A to Z and a saver bus ticket for support she began the Great London Adventure. And what sights she found - restaurants from myriad countries, galleries in the most unlikely places, breathtaking views, music in a variety of venues, a rich history and parties going on every night of the week.

The spirit of this website is to capture the energy and enthusiasm, not only of the Great London Adventure, but of everyone in the city who has ever thought "This is my city. This is where I want to be."

londonlostandfound is a not-for-profit company, and is powered by pleasure. The editorial team includes:
