unusual : darn There are so many questions in life that go unanswered and, strangely, many have a link to science and scientific exploration... psychology, neuroscience, environmental science...dating.... yes dating! Perhaps you have long pondered how to read the body language of your date or a potential liaison, to predict an exciting or not-so-exciting future together. Perhaps you have sat and considered whether the G-spot actually exists. (Or perhaps some of you haven't. Shame on you!) Perhaps you have fancied finding out if it's possible to actually read the mind rather than thinking you are talented with ESP (perhaps that's just me though). What about how to create your own motor or the origins of magical thoughts? The Dana Centre may hold the answers. It has been prominent in my diary recently for a number of reasons. It is a contemporary, accessible science centre for adults. You can observe or participate in an event or talk about a topic that you might not naturally think of as a 'science'. You can explore this with a glass of wine or beer and nibbles of your choice. The sessions are often hands-on, and move away from a formal lecture style, with presenters who are well respected within their fields. The events take place most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Although you have to contact the centre for tickets, events are free and set in a lovely open cafe. Dana Centre, 165 Queen's Gate, SW7 / South Kensington
